Amanda Brugel

Brugel is the sole Canadian participant in the Season 1 cast. She was seen only occasionally. But in Season 2 she became a regular regular and has been part of the crew ever since. While discussing her role, as well as the parallels to her actual life, Brugel can relate to racism and the injustices she's experienced in other areas of her life. She stated: "I lean heavily on race. As I said, I've had past experiences where I felt that I was treated as a slave just because I am African-American." Though I've not experienced physical harm due to my skin color however, I have certainly experienced physical abuse. In the TV show I'll make use of any type of racial slurs or racist epithets that make me feel like someone has hit me. I use that feeling for almost every scene since I get the feeling that she's being punched or slapped in some manner in nearly every single scene." Amanda Amanda Amanda
