Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe is from a multicultural family. She was born within South London. She is English as well as her father was Nigerian. Her family was raised in a south London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age fourteen. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was earned. At the academy was when she performed in various stage plays, including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career began in the series Storm Damage. She has appeared as guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film appearance was in Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Her success led her to play Elisha in a single-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. Later, she appeared in six episodes Trexx and Flipside in the role of Ollie. In the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl was her first appearance in 2008 playing Bambi. Madekwe also appeared on the comedic How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). The credits she has in her theatre work include Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe made her official US debut in the 2009 Drama series The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast for The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama series, was cast for her as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe's exit from the series was officially announced in May of 2013. After two years as the main character she was a guest in the first episode of season 3. The actress portrayed Tituba in the television series Salem between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe, her longtime partner, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. They've worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also played a part with her in the television series Salem.

Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in the large family. Her parents were Patty and Roy Leggat. Her four older brothers were present as well including twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey throughout the winter as well as in the summer. They grew up playing baseball and arenas. Ashley could not walk but was able to dance. As a result, as she grew older when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. Ashley began to be a dancer following this. Until she graduated from High School, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of ballet, tap, jazz and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. Ashley won the best soloist prize at each major dance competition, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among a few.
